Grief and Loss

Grief is a strong emotion that comes not only from the loss of a loved one, but also from other major losses such as a career, a relationship or other important parts of your life.  Grief affects everyone in different ways.  Whether the death/loss was sudden or the result of a prolonged illness or situation, feelings from anger and hate to guilt, pain or helplessness, are just a few a survivor may experience.  There are no “wrong” feelings associated with grief and the therapeutic relationship is a safe place to express and explore your emotions.  I strive to help clients understand and accept the feelings related to their grief, and assist them in moving forward on their life path.
